Morning Routine

My favorite thing is one of the lines on the Yogi Tea box itself ...
"This effective blend of green tea and kombucha is designed to enhance your immune system, fight fatigue and detoxify your body. Not to mention that simply saying 'kom-boo-chaw' will make you smile."

This from a Bigelow "Perfectly Pear" Tea box:

In Praise of Routine: What is it about my daily rituals? Why such pleasure in repetition? Well, it occures to me that I might just be practicing . . . being me. Those cherished creaks in the old floorboards. The precise angle of the winter sun cheering my kitchen. Assembling ingredients for a dish I've made hundreds of times. A novel postion my cats have adopted, lost in their midday dreams. Each nuance resonates with a kind of timeless wisdom and I realize that it is these humble putterings--nothing fancier--that have allowed me, finally, to know myself. ---David Jacoby

I liked this so much I cut it off the box and glued it to a magnet and keep it on my fridge. Tea is a good thing!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this humble and perceptive view of life in the morning as it was for not only the author, but very possibly you (as found in your appreciation of it) Wow! What beauty there is in such simple things -- and in your being you in relation to all that is around you at that early morning hour. This makes me want to go look for a tea box (or a tea bag message) and take my own early morning photograph -- with a message for the day. I might post something soon! Thanks Bube.
