3D Stah

Speaking of dimensions, I have a problem I have been working on. I was wondering if it is possible to draw a three dimensional star. I wanted to draw one as a reward to all of you for your answers to my puzzle (one dimension for each of you), but I am unable to figure out how to do it. So now I am wondering if it's possible, and if anyone else can figure out how to do it. So, I guess in a way this is a new puzzle!

Very interesting problem indeed. I'll get back to you in about 17 years. Just kidding !!!!! I will give this one some thought. My first VERY rough thoughts on this (in the first 10 seconds actually) involved thought on working with a sphere, then maybe a digital camera (but only maybe for that) and maybe a "manual-draw" method working with 5 equally distant points (on the sphere) which I suppose would have to be "envisioned" somehow THROUGH a circle on a two-dimenSional piece of paper (as it it were in 3 dimenSions) ... which when drawn (totally right) would get me da gold STAH from DeeDee.

And if I have not lost everyone by nuhow, then I am a Mensa Writer.

Addishunilly, I will also admit dais thoughts are 101% rough at dais stage.

It also occurs to me now (after 100 seconds) that there are possibly 2 ways to do this. One would be in 360 degree 3-d format. The other would be in 3-d format but raised up off a 2-d surface. I will supply you in an email with the latter version keeping in mind that I am pretty sure you want to see this stah in 3-d format IN ALL dimensions (if rotated in space.)

What is the name of that French art that is painted on a flat surface but looks like 3 D?

Check out 3dstar

I'm thinking of actually pasting our pix on one of these stars and then photographing it ...

BuBe's right (sorry, ryet). Check out Trompe-l'oeil
