Tanx for these signs of spring BuBe. Everything is still pretty brown here. Has anyone seen a robin yet? I wonder when they will show up.

A migrating flock of about 50-70 robins landed in my back yard during one of the storms, hung around for a couple of days and moved along. Right now I have two regular sets of Mr & Mrs Redbreast, checking for worms in the beds I have turned over. Also have a pair of mocking/cat birds, 3 pair of cardinals, two pair of red finch, song sparrows, gold finch, downy woodpeckers, flickers, junco, titmouse, bluejays, wrens, chickadees, doves, starling, and infinite housesparrows. We have a total of ten single birdhouses and two 4 unit houses, all full of sparrows and wrens. Every day the kids and I put out straw for them to pick up. I have one hanging seed feeder, two suet feeders, and two birdbaths. We throw P&H's leftovers out the window twice a day, and toss some extra seeds under the tree lines. It is nearly deafening at times with all the spring time chirping going on. Kids and I love it!

I could hear the birds singing when I was out on my jog today, and it was a very nice sound. Definitely more spring like. Then I saw my first rawbin! Only two days left until the first day of spring.

I saw what looked like a Hawstah plant beginning to show some yellow-green nubs on a sandy mound of old Hawstah leaves at a gas station's garden dais morning. Not too romantic a setting but a nice sign of spring. I had a good jog dais morning. No rawbins sighted here yet. Bube, your place sounds very cul. VERY spring-like!

Max, I love that you "see" signs of spring in places most would not look.
