I voted as well - congrats to Democrats. I am still a Republican and Capitalist at heart, hoping for the best to come to all of us.

I am very hopeful for the future. But think we also have a lot of work ahead of us.

I love your picture - looks like smobriety is agreeing with you! I am cheating with my picture as it is already 3 years old and my locks are now salt and pepper. I gave up the bottle! hahaha, but somedays I look in the mirror and almost don't recognize the old lady there. The stresses of the economy are starting to show - hahaha. Not really funny! But if we all try to get our own houses in order by living a little more frugally, perhaps there will be a trickle up effect - before we have to learn to speak Russian, Chinese or Persian. Life in this world has become so very complicated. But I too, have hope for better times ahead.

Well, I've been a little quiet lately but I wanted join the group here to say I am happy with the election results. I voted early on Election Day to avoid the line (which developed pretty fast). The acceptance speech was exciting to watch. Nice to hear everyone is doing well here. Nice work Lee on your 2nd place race! That's awesome. The best to you Amee on your wogging and continued smobriety. I'm right there with you Bube with "economy awareness," but I too am hopeful. Maybe I can paint a zillian pictures and retire at 65. hehehe. Well, we can always dream. Work continues in Wayland. Tonight I am working on a "job dialog" which may lead to something bettah when I hand it in. Hours at work have been reduced a bit this week but I've decided not work in other departments and take advantage of the time off -- Hoping the weather will be nice and to get some running in.

For those who were following the 538 site: you should go there and compare the projections with the actual election's outcome. Downright amazing!
